Point24 was a free newspaper in Luxembourg , which first appeared on November 27, 2007 and was published until December 2012 . The newspaper initially had 16 pages and was published from Monday to Friday in the "classic" A3 format that is common for daily newspapers. In contrast to the local competitor product L'Essentiel , it was not entirely in Frenchwritten, but based on the traditional daily press in Luxembourg, initially mainly in German, but with an increasingly extensive French-language part. It was interesting that the articles in the two languages were not mixed up, but that the newspaper was in German on the front and began on the back or 2nd front rotated 180 degrees with articles in French.

Since January 10, 2011, Point24 has been printed in the "more manageable" A4 format (the usual format for magazines), consisted of 32 pages until it was discontinued and had a circulation of around 60,000 copies. Since then, the editions have continued to appear from Monday to Friday, but in a double or triple pack: there was a German-language edition with a cyan- blue logo for Luxembourg / German readers and for the francophone readership (e.g. French, Portuguese or Walloon cross-border commuters from Belgium) a French-language edition with a magenta- red logo. In addition, there was an edition with a poison- green logo in Portuguese twice a week , aimed at the large target group of Portuguese immigrants in Luxembourg.

The publisher was the publishing house Saint Paul Luxembourg SA (formerly Sankt Paulus Druckerei), which has been running the country's first and largest daily newspaper with the Luxemburger Wort since 1848 . Like free newspapers in other countries, Point24 was distributed at highly frequented points such as train stations, bus stops, petrol stations and busy shops. While in Europe free newspapers are mostly distributed in metropolitan areas, Point24 was available throughout the country. During the vacation and vacation period, Point24 was usually open from 1 to 31 August not published by the editorial team.

In terms of content, Point24 covered all areas of a daily newspaper, but to a significantly reduced extent. The international reporting was largely contested by agency reports, mostly from the German ( dpa ) or French press agency Agence France-Presse (AFP). There were also u. a. a short local and sports section, VIP news, a weather forecast, announcements about cinema screenings and cultural events and an excerpt from the daily television program of the most important TV stations in Luxembourg or in other German or French countries tailored to the respective target group of speakers.
