Point Au Roche State Park is a state park in the community of Beekmantown in Clinton County , New York , United States. The park covers an area of 856 acres (3.46 km²) and is located on the west bank of Lake Champlain on Treadwell Bay . The border with the state of Vermont runs through the lake . The park is accessed via Route 87 (Adirondack Northway) from Plattsburgh .
The park was founded on the basis of a donation from the former "Town Supervisor" Florence Corron .
Freetime activities
The park is set up for day trippers with picnic areas and opportunities for hiking, cross-country skiing, cycling and fishing. There is a nature center and a sandy beach (Saint Arman Beach). There are anchorages for up to 60 boats in Deep Bay .
