State parks in New York

In the US state of New York there are 168 state parks (as of 2004). They are largely administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation , which also manages the Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area . State parks that are not managed by him are marked with an *, among them is Lock 32 State Canal Park . Exceptions are Adirondack Park (also managed by the Adirondack Park Agency ) and Catskill Parks , which are managed by the Department of Environmental Conservation and together form the Forest Preserve .
