Wadi Soudah (* 1948 in Nablus / Palestine ) is a Palestinian - German writer .

Life

Wadi Soudah comes from a Palestinian family of sheep farmers . He grew up in Rafidia near Nablus . From 1969 to 1977 studied he Sociology and Islamic philosophy in Beirut . During the civil war in Lebanon , Soudah went to Jordan and in 1979 to the Federal Republic of Germany . He continued his studies in sociology in Heidelberg and Bielefeld , which he completed with a master's degree. A kidney disease that made him a dialysis patient forced him to drop out of further doctoral studies . He began writing literary texts in German and Arabic . In his German-language stories he processes u. a. his experiences as a foreigner in Germany. - Wadi Soudah is married to a German woman and lives in Bielefeld.
