Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park is a state park with boat slip at the Irondequoit Bay of Lake Ontario . The park covers an area of ​​0.18 km² (44 acre ) and is located in Monroe County , New York , north of the City of Rochester . The park is jointly maintained by the Monroe County Parks Department and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation .

The state park is located at the northern end of Irondequoit Bay and partly on the spit that separates the bay from Lake Ontario. The slipway is directly opposite Mayer's Marina Inc at the lock to the lake. The Statepark extends from there on a relatively narrow strip to the southwest along the Seabreeze Amusement Park to the area of German Village and Point Pleasant . Overall, the bay is a green oasis with numerous other marinas and viewpoints. At the south end are Irondequoit Bay Park and Ellison Park with Lucien Morin Park .

Freetime activities

The State Marine Park mainly offers opportunities for fishing, boating, geocaching , kayaking and canoeing. The park is usually open every day from 7 am to 11 pm, except during the winter months (November 1st to March 31st).
