The Pinnacle State Park and Golf Course is a state park in the municipality of Town of Addison , east of the village Addison , New York , United States. The park covers an area of 714 acres (2.89 km²) and is located southwest of Corning in Steuben County .
geography
The park is located on the hill above the Canisteo River , southeast of Addison. In its center is the pinnacle at approx. 520 m above sea level . The Reuben Brook rises near Pinnacle Road , which serves as the access road to the golf course, and initially flows south, but after a short walk turns west and then north, so that it almost describes a spiral to finally north of the park to run in the valley of the Canisteo, where it joins the same after a distance of about 4 km. The Reuben Brook can hardly be seen in many places in the landscape. It rises on a plateau on which Levi Pond and several ponds of the golf course lie.
The McCarthy Hill state park is bordered to the east immediately adjacent to the park.
free time activities
Pinnacle State Park has picnic tables, pavilions, a restaurant, and fishing and hunting, as well as the Pinnacle State Golf Course, which has nine holes and hiking on 11 mi (18 km) of trails.
A section of the Great Eastern Trail has also been running in the park since 2008.
