State parks in Louisiana

The US state of Louisiana has 22 state parks (as of March 2011). The state parks in Louisiana are from the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism managed.

history

The history of the Louisian State Park System began in 1934 when the state parliament established the State Parks Commission of Louisiana.

In 2002, more than 2 million visitors visited Louisiana state parks.
