Point Davis is a headland of Laurie Island in the South Orkney Archipelago . It is 1.9 km west-northwest of Point Rae on the north shore of Scotia Bay .

Participants of the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) under the direction of polar explorer William Speirs Bruce mapped it in 1903. Bruce named the headland after the American meteorologist Walter Gould Davis (1851-1919), then director of the Argentine Meteorological Office .
