Poju (* 1976 in Vaajakoski ; real name Pasi Heinonen ) is a Finnish pop singer.
biography
Poju was the singer in the band Hausmylly from 2007 to 2010 , which had two of their biggest hits during this time. The following year he published the mood song Poika (saunoo) . The song was used by the broadcaster YLE in reporting on the 2011 Ice Hockey World Championship and became the anthem of the successful Finnish team, which won the world championship title for the second time in eleven years. The song became one of the most successful songs of the year and stayed at number 1 for seven weeks and a half year in the Finnish top 20 charts. It was the best-selling song of the year and went platinum .
In autumn 2011, Poju also managed to enter the Finnish album charts with his debut album.
When Finland became world champion for a third time in 2019 , the song returned to number 7 on the charts for a week.
