Pokémon Tekken (in other countries Pokkén Tournament ) is a fighting game from Bandai Namco Entertainment that combines game elements from the classic genre Tekken with characters from the Pokémon game world. It was released in 2015 in arcades in Japan and was released worldwide on March 18, 2016 for Nintendo's Wii U game console . A suitable arcade controller appeared for the version on the slot machines. On June 6, 2017, a new edition for the Nintendo Switch was announced under the title Pokémon Tekken DX , which was released on September 22, 2017.

Gameplay

In Pokémon Tekken, two players fight each other with different Pokémon in the usual Tekken style. Unlike most slot machine fighting games that use a traditional joystick and buttons, the arcade version of Pokkén Tournament is played with game console controllers. This should enable players who have no experience with slot machines and their joysticks to find their way into the game more quickly. The game is mainly based on action and less on the more technical gameplay with many different key combinations from Tekken. The players can use various Pokémon attacks and the mega developments known since Pokémon X and Y and increase the attack strength and defense of the characters through so-called buffs .

After the release, an amiibo card from Shadow Mewtwo will be included with every game for a limited time .
