Polina Sergejewna Bogussewitsch ( Russian : Полина Сергеевна Богусевич; born July 4, 2003 in Moscow ) is a Russian singer. She is the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 .

life and career

Family and beginning of career

Bogusevich was born on July 4, 2003 in Moscow, her parents are Yulia and Sergey. She is of Russian and Korean descent and her family is from Omsk . Bogusevich attends a school in Moscow and the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music. Her professional singing career began in 2012 when she took part in the International Art Festival in North Macedonia . She later also appeared in television shows such as Okno v Parizh and Shkola muzyki . From 2013 to 2015 she performed with the orchestras "Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz" and "Jazz Band Phonograph" directed by Sergey Zhilin.

Since 2014

In 2014 Bogusevich was a candidate for the first season of the Russian version of The Voice Kids , where she was on Dima Bilan's team . She reached the battles. In the same year she also took part in Children's New Wave as one of two Russian participants , where she took second place. In 2014 she also took part in the television projects “Song of the Year 2014”, “Christmas Carol of the Year 2014” and “Children's Song of the Year 2014”. She also received a special award from Detsky Radio in the Best Song in Russian category. In 2015 she took part in San Remo Junior and received a 1st degree diploma.

On June 3, 2017, Bogusevich won the Russian preliminary decision for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Krylya (wings), which later got the English title Wings . At the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Tbilisi , Bogusevich won the final on November 26, 2017 with 188 points. She ensured Russia's second victory in this competition after the Tolmacheva sisters in 2006.
