Politique étrangère

Politique étrangère (abbreviated PE , ISSN  0032-342X ) is a quarterly French specialist publication on foreign and international politics . Founded in 1936 , it is the oldest journal in this field in France .

Like the journals Foreign Affairs (edited on behalf of the Council on Foreign Relations ), International Affairs (edited by Chatham House ) and Internationale Politik (magazine) (edited by the German Society for Foreign Policy ), “Politique étrangère” appears under the umbrella of a national organization for foreign policy, namely the “ Institut français des relations internationales ” (abbreviated “IFRI”, French Institute for International Relations).

Authors are renowned scientists, politicians and publicists from France and other countries. These include, for example, Raymond Aron , André Beaufre , Jacques Berque , Henry Kissinger , Claude Lévi-Strauss , Louis Massignon and Jean-Paul Sartre .
