The specialist journal Internationale Politik (abbreviated to IP ), the follow-up publication to the Europa-Archiv , which appeared between 1946 and 1994 , is a German-language specialist publication for international relations that appears bimonthly (monthly until September 2009) .

The magazine has been published by the German Society for Foreign Policy (DGAP) since 1995 . A quarterly English-language Transatlantic Edition has been published since 2000, and the quarterly Chinese edition since June 2005, which is produced by the German embassy in Beijing . The Russian edition, published since 1996 and produced every two months by the German embassy in Moscow , has been discontinued.

The editorial office is based in Berlin in the building of the Yugoslav Legation in Berlin , where the DGAP is also based. From 2003 to 2009 Sabine Rosenbladt was editor-in-chief, who had previously directed the Hamburg weekly newspaper Die Woche , which was discontinued in 2002 . From 2009 until her death in 2017, the magazine was headed by Sylke Tempel . Martin Bialecki will be the editor-in-chief from September 1, 2018 .

With the Berlin Policy Journal , an English-language branch has been published since 2012, which is only available online. The topics deal with German and European politics, Russia, transatlantic relations, security issues and the German energy transition. From 2008 to October 2017, the editor-in-chief was Sylke Tempel, as was the case with IP.
