Pollholmen ( roughly translated from Norwegian Bay Island ) is a 500 m long island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 160 m from the southeast side of the East Ongul Island on the east side of the entrance to the Lützow-Holm Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . It is named after its geographical position opposite the indentation that separates the Ongul Island from the East Ongul Island.
