Headquarters of the Polish Cultural Center at Prinzregentenstrasse 7 in Munich

The Polish Cultural Center ( Centrum Kultury Polskiej ) in Munich is located at Prinzregentenstrasse 7 on the ground floor, in the former building of the Bavarian State Chancellery . It opened in 2001.

The cultural center does not have the status of a cultural institute like the Polish institutes in Berlin, Leipzig and Düsseldorf: It is the cultural department of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Munich, but with its own gallery . Several cultural events from the fields of art, literature, music and education take place here every year. The cultural center is managed by the Consul for Culture, an employee of the Polish Foreign Office, usually for four years at a time.

The cultural center was most recently headed by Consul Malgorzata Tyszkiewicz and tries to promote good relations in the cultural field: the program of events is aimed at both Germans and Poles.
