The Poloplast GmbH & Co KG (proper spelling: POLOPLAST ) develops and manufactures plastic pipe systems. Founded in 1954 by the Anger brothers in Linz , the company was taken over a year later by Durit Werke Kern & Co from Klagenfurt and Hatschek from Vöcklabruck and has been trading under the name Poloplast ever since . In 1997, Poloplast became a 100% subsidiary of the Wietersdorfer Group.

The focus of the company's activities is in the area of ​​pipe systems - primarily for the applications of house drainage, drinking water, sewerage and water supply. In the compounding branch, Poloplast develops and manufactures special compounds for plastic applications.

With its headquarters in Leonding (Upper Austria) and a subsidiary in Ebenhofen (Germany), the company, under the management of Wolfgang Lux and Jürgen Miethlinger, generated sales of around € 106 million in 2016 with around 380 employees. From January 2018 to the end of 2019 Klaus Tonhäuser also on the management board. In 2019, two further subsidiaries were founded in Houston (USA) and Colmar (France). With effect from October 28, 2019, Wolfgang Lux as CEO and Konstantin Urbanides as CFO as managing director of the Poloplast Group.
