The Pond Peak is a 1430 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It looms in the Saint Johns Range on the south side of the entrance to the Baldwin Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1964 after James Daniel Pond (1925-2006) of the United States Navy , who was responsible for the repair and maintenance of the electronic equipment at Hallett Station in 1962.
