Pont mégalithique by Le Châtellier
The Pont mégalithique of Le Châtellier (also called Banvou pont mégalithique ) is a probably medieval flagstone bridge near a ford ( French gué ) over the river Varenne , northeast of the village of Le Châtellier but south of Flers in the north of the Orne department in Normandy in North of france .
The stone slab footbridge of Le Châtellier - which is not secured laterally as usual - consists of two 2 to 3 m long slabs that rest on a two-part, slightly tilted central pillar and the brick bridgeheads on the bank.
