Ponta Mina is a district of the capital São Tomé on the island of São Tomé in the island state of São Tomé and Príncipe . In 2012 there were 984 inhabitants.
geography
The district is centrally located between the Bay Ana Chaves in the north-west, the Parque Popular in the north with the Rua da Caixa district and the Estádio Nacional 12 de Julho in the south-east. The Atrás do Estádio and Quilombo districts close to the south . The neighborhood is bordered to the west by the street of the same name, Ponta Mina, and to the south by the straight Avenida Kwame N'kruma . The embassy of the People's Republic of China ( Embaixada da China ) is located in the quarter .
