Ponta do Seixas is a cape in eastern Brazil on the Atlantic Ocean . It marks the most easterly point of the American double continent . The cape is located about 10 kilometers southeast of the city center of João Pessoa , the capital of the state of Paraíba . The Farol do Cabo Branco lighthouse is located just under a kilometer north of Ponta do Seixas , based on the Cap Blanc in western Africa .
