The Ponte Almirante Sarmento Rodrigues (in German "Bridge Admiral Sarmento Rodrigues"), occasionally also Ponte Rodoviária de Barca d'Alva ("Road Bridge of Barca d'Alva") is an arch bridge in the village of Barca d'Alva in the Portuguese municipality of Escalhão in the district Guarda , it spans the Douro River . National road 221 leads over the bridge.

The five-arch bridge was designed by the Portuguese engineer Edgar Cardoso in 1955, and the bridge was opened in 1967. The next Douro overpasses are in Pocinho (30 km to the west) and at the Bemposta dam (50 km to the east). The bridge is named after the Portuguese admiral Manuel Sarmento Rodrigues , former Minister for Colonies under Salazar and Governor of Portuguese Guinea (1945–49) and Mozambique (1961–64).
