Kratow made his debut in 2006 at the European and World Championships in orienteering. In 2010 he managed to finish in the top ten internationally for the second time at the World Championships in Trondheim after finishing ninth at the 2008 European Championships. Over the middle distance he was fifth in the victory of the Norwegian Carl Waaler Kaas . A year later he finished fourth over the same distance. At the European Championships in Falun and Mora in 2012 , he was also fourth in the middle distance and sixth in the long distance race. In 2013 in Vuokatti he won his first World Cup medal in the Ukrainian relay with Pavlo Ushkwarok and Dennis Shcherbakov . Behind the seasons of Russia and Sweden, the Ukrainians came third. In 2014 Kratow celebrated his first two World Cup victories in Murcia, Spain and in Kongsberg in Norway. At the European Championships in Portugal he was sixth in the middle distance, three months later he won the bronze medal in the middle distance at the World Championships in Italy behind the Norwegian Olav Lundanes and the Swiss Fabian Hertner . After Yuri Omelchenko , he was the second Ukrainian medalist at orienteering world championships in an individual competition.
Kratow ran in 2008 for the Finnish club Turun Metsänkävijät at Jukola and was eighth. Since 2009 he has been working for the Swedish club OK Orion . In 2011 and 2013 Kratow became Swedish night orienteering champion. 2013 also on the middle distance.
