Carl Godager Kaas (formerly Carl Waaler Kaas ; born July 28, 1982 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian orienteer . His biggest success so far was the world title in the middle distance in 2010.

Life

Carl Waaler Kaas grew up in Oslo and attended the commercial high school there (until 2001). He then completed his studies in energy and environmental technology at the Technical and Natural Sciences University of Norway in 2010.

One of his first international successes was a third place in the relay at the European Championships in 2006 and a fourth place at the Open Nordic Orienteering Championships (NOC) 2007. In 2008 he started for the first time at the World Orienteering Championships . In 2009 he celebrated his first victory in a World Cup competition . 2010 Kaas repeated his third place in the European Relay Championship and won the middle distance title at the World Championships in Trondheim . With the Norwegian relay he also won the world championship silver medal. In 2010 he also moved from the university sports club NTNUI to Bækkelagets SK .

He is married to Lene Godager.
