The Ponte di Tre Archi is a bridge in Venice , in the Sestiere Cannaregio spans is, the Cannaregiokanal and Fondamenta Cannaregio with the Fondamenta S. Giobbe connects.
It was built in 1688 by the architect Andrea Tirali instead of a stone bridge built in 1503, which in turn replaced a three-arched wooden bridge. In the 16th century, Venice's stone bridges were predominantly single-arched, three-arched bridges were only made of wood, such as the Ponte delle Guglie , the Ponte Longo alla Giudecca , the Ponte di San Pietro and the Rialto Bridge . Only the Ponte di San Lorenzo was made of stone and had three arches.
Next to the bridge is the Tre Archi stop named after her, which is served by Motoscafi. ACTV lines 5.1, 5.2 and 22 stop at the stop .
