The Ponting-Kliff is an edgy cliff on the Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 5 km east of the common confluence of the Dennistoun , Nash and Wallis glaciers in the Somow Sea . It is similar in appearance to the neighboring Meares cliff .
The northern group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) of British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott , led by Victor Campbell , mapped it. It is named after Herbert Ponting (1870–1935), photographer on this research trip.
