Porch comes from the southern county of Devon and works in a hospital in London . During the COVID-19 pandemic , she contracted SARS-CoV-2 , but recovered from COVID-19 .
On April 18, 2020, she performed the song You Taught Me What Love Is , which she wrote by herself, on the talent show Britain's Got Talent , with which she hit the UK single charts the week after it was broadcast . She donated all proceeds from the sale to the National Health Service (NHS) and Great Ormond Street Hospital .
