Porsche Design Tower (Frankfurt)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Porsche Design Tower is an exclusive high-rise residential building in the Europaviertel in Frankfurt am Main .

The property (construction site 29) was bought in 2014 by P + B Planen und Bauen GmbH & Co. KG and the Porsche Design Group . Although the Grüntuch Ernst Architekten from Berlin won the competition in 2015 , the second-placed Blauraum Architekten are now entrusted with the design of the high-rise apartment building. Construction work on the 80–100 meter high building on the corner of Europa-Allee and Emser Brücke was originally supposed to start in 2018 and be completed in 2020, but nothing came of it. In November 2019, the owner put the property up for sale along with a building permit.

Together with the “Messeeingang Süd” office high-rise planned to the north, the high-rise is intended to create a portal situation on the Emser Bridge.

More than 200 apartments with a total area of around 16,000 square meters are planned. The price per square meter for the condominiums was given as 5,000 to 10,000 euros. There is an old water tower on the construction site. This could be converted into a café.

In the USA ( Sunny Isles Beach , Florida ) there is already a Porsche Design Tower that serves as a residential building.
