Portal Tomb by Killoneery
The collapsed Portal Tomb of Killoneery (or Killonerry ) is on a low, non-circular hill about 10 m in diameter in a pasture, in the townland of Killonerry ( Irish Cill Ó Neire ) in the far west of County Kilkenny in Ireland , about 100 m west of the River Lingaun ( An Loinneán ), a tributary of the Suir , which forms the border with County Tipperary here.
The long, relocated capstone measures 3.8 m in length, 2.6 m in width and is a maximum of 1.6 m thick. He lies diagonally on the collapsed chamber. The portal stones were originally 1.4 m high. The end stone was dismembered. There is cairn material under the capstone and door stone . The chamber is filled with reading stones .
