Sándor Prokopp (born May 7, 1887 in Kassa , Kingdom of Hungary , † November 4, 1964 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian sports shooter .

successes

Sándor Prokopp took part in three Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he finished 43rd with the free rifle in the three-position battle. In 1912 the three-position fight, this time with the army rifle, went much better, because with 97 points he achieved the best value and thus became Olympic champion . He finished the 1924 games in Paris with the free rifle in the prone position in 55th place and with the rapid-fire pistol in 53rd place. He was also part of the Hungarian team in competition with the free rifle.

Prokopp, who was born in what is now Košice , moved to Budapest as a child . There he studied law and received his doctorate in the subject. In Budapest he held various posts in public administration. In the last ten years of his career, he was responsible for the legal issues of the Budapest Road and Waste Water Authority.
