At the VIII Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 , ten sports shooting competitions were held. There were four venues: the Camp de Châlon in Mourmelon-le-Grand (near Châlons-en-Champagne ), the clay pigeon shooting range in Issy-les-Moulineaux , the Stade Olympique in Reims and the shooting range in Versailles . There were eleven disciplines on the program less than four years earlier.
