Werner Nicolai Ekman (born May 15, 1893 in Rantasalmi , † October 3, 1968 in Seinäjoki ) was a Finnish marksman .
successes
Werner Ekman took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in the Trap discipline . In the team competition in 1924 he finished third with the Finnish team behind the United States and Canada. With a total of 360 points, the team, which in addition to Ekman also consisted of Konrad Huber , Robert Tikkanen , Georg Nordblad , Magnus Wegelius and Robert Huber , was on par with the Canadians, but lost to them in a final jump-off and thus won the bronze medal. Ekman was the team's third best shooter with 91 points. In the individual competition, he achieved eleventh place with 94 points.
In 1937 he was world champion in the team competition in Helsinki . He had already won silver with the team in Stockholm in 1929 . In 1947 he won bronze in the team competition there.
