Finland took part in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris with a delegation of 121 male athletes in 69 competitions in twelve competitions.

The Finnish athletes won 14 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze medals. In the medal table, Finland took second place. Olympic champions were the Greco-Roman wrestlers Kalle Anttila in the featherweight, Oskar Friman in the lightweight and Edvard Vesterlund in the middleweight, the freestyle wrestler Kustaa Pihlajamäki in the bantamweight and the athletes Paavo Nurmi each over 1500 meters, 5000 meters and cross-country, Ville Ritola over 10,000 meters and 3000 meter obstacle, Jonni Myyrä in the javelin throw, Eero Lehtonen in the pentathlon, Albin Stenroos in the marathon, Elias Katz , Paavo Nurmi and Ville Ritola in the team competition over 3000 meters and Heikki Liimatainen , Paavo Nurmi and Ville Ritola in the team classification of the cross-country run.
