Finland took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, with a delegation of 45 athletes, 40 men and 5 women.

It was Finland's fourteenth participation in the Winter Olympics since 1924 .

Flag bearer

Ice hockey player Jorma Valtonen carried the flag of Finland during the opening ceremony at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium .

Medals

With four won gold, three silver and six bronze medals, the Finnish team took 4th place in the medal table .
