The Netherlands participated in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo with thirteen athletes (nine men and four women). Dutch athletes competed in speed skating and two-man bobsleigh. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the speed skater Hilbert van der Duim .

The Dutch team could not win a medal in 1984. For the first time since the 1956 Winter Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo, it remained without countable success.
