1988 Winter Olympics / Participant (Netherlands)

The Netherlands took part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada with eleven athletes. It was the 13th time the Netherlands had taken part in the Winter Olympics .
The six men and five women all competed in speed skating . The outstanding athlete was Yvonne van Gennip with three gold medals in three starts, two of which were new world records .

The speed skater Jan Ykema was chosen to carry the flag of the Netherlands for the opening ceremony.
