The People's Republic of China took part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada, with a delegation of 13 athletes in three disciplines, including six men and seven women. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the figure skater Zhang Zhubin .
