The Mongolia participated in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Canadian Calgary in part with a delegation of three athletes in cross-country skiing, two men and a woman. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the cross-country skier Dawaagiin Enchee .
