The Mongolia took in 1998 for the ninth time at the Olympic Winter Games in part. Three athletes were sent to Nagano , all men who competed in two disciplines. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the short track runner Boldyn Sansarbileg .
