The US Virgin Islands participated in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano with a delegation of seven athletes, six men and one woman, some in two sports.
It was the fourth time the US Virgin Islands had participated in the Winter Olympics.
The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the bobsledder Paul Zar .
