Denmark took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano twelve athletes, five men and seven women who competed in six disciplines, in part.
It was Denmark's ninth participation in the Winter Olympics .
Flag bearer
Curler Helena Blach Lavrsen wore the Dannebrog , the flag of Denmark , during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .
Medals
In Nagano, Denmark managed to win their first and so far only medal at the Winter Olympics: The women's curling team reached the final, but lost to Canada 5: 7 and thus won the silver medal.
