Denmark took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki with a delegation of 129 athletes (115 men and 14 women) in 73 competitions in 15 sports.

The Danish athletes won two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The Olympic champion was the sailor Paul Elvstrøm in the boat class Finn dinghy and the canoeists Bent Rasch and Finn Haunstoft in the two-man canoe over 1000 meters. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the fencer Erik Swane Lund .
