1952 Summer Olympics / Participant (Bermuda)

Bermuda took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics in the Finnish capital Helsinki with sixathletes nominatedby the Bermuda Olympic Association , two women and four men, in six competitions in three sports.

It was Bermuda’s third participation in the Summer Olympics since 1936 . The youngest participant was diver Mickey Johnson at the age of 18, the oldest participant was 34-year-old diver Frank Gosling .

Flag bearer

As four years earlier, Whitfield Hayward carried the Bermuda flag during the opening ceremony at the Olympic Stadium .
