The Czechoslovakia took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics in the Finnish capital Helsinki , with 99 athletes, 13 women and 86 men in 70 competitions in 11 sports part.

Since 1920 was the seventh participation of a Czechoslovak team in the Summer Olympics .

The youngest athlete was the 17-year-old rower Miroslav Koranda , the oldest athlete was the 43-year-old canoeist Bohuslav Karlík .

Flag bearer

Vít Matlocha carried the flag of Czechoslovakia during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

With seven won gold, three silver and three bronze medals, the Czechoslovak team finished 6th in the medal count .
The most successful participant was the athlete Emil Zátopek , who won three gold medals.
