Olga Modrachová

Olga Modrachová (married Davidová; born May 9, 1930 in Prague ; † January 30, 1995 in Brno ) was a Czechoslovak high jumper , pentathlon fighter , long jumper , sprinter and hurdler .

In 1947 she won silver in the high jump and bronze in the long jump at the World Festival of Youth and Students .

At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 and at the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1951, she won bronze in the pentathlon. In 1952 she was fifth in the high jump at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .

A silver medal in the high jump at the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1953 was followed by bronze in the high jump and a ninth place in the pentathlon at the EM 1954 in Bern. In the high jump she won silver again at the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1955 and was tenth at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne.

At the EM in 1958 in Stockholm she was fifth in the pentathlon.

She was Czechoslovak high jump champion twelve times (1949–1960), seven times in pentathlon (1949–1951, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1958), three times over 200 m (1950–1952), twice over 100 m (1951, 1952) and 80 m hurdles (1950, 1951) and once in the long jump (1955).

She was married to sprinter Jiří David .
