Václav Pšenička junior (born May 14, 1931 in Prague ) is a former Czechoslovak weightlifter.

Career

Václav Pšenička junior is the son of the silver medalist in weightlifting of the heavyweight division at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin of the same name ( Václav Pšenička senior ). He grew up in Prague and began lifting weights at a young age, guided by his father. He was a member of the Czechoslovak armed forces and first belonged to an army sports club in Prague and then to "Spartak" Prague. He was the first Czechoslovak middleweight champion in 1950 at the age of 18. His development into an internationally successful weightlifter continued continuously in the following years. By 1961, when he ended his international career, he had won a total of seven medals at world and European championships in the Olympic three-way battle.
