Jindřich Roudný

Jindřich Roudný (born February 14, 1924 in Fukov ; † May 10, 2015 ) was a Czechoslovak athlete . The 1.75 m tall runner, who weighed 63 kg when he competed, was the European obstacle course champion in 1950 .

At the European Championships in Oslo in 1946 , Roudný ran a new national record in 9: 33.4 minutes. He finished 7th, more than 30 seconds behind the winner Raphaël Pujazon . Four years later at the European Championships in Brussels in 1950 , Roudný won the title in 9: 05.4 minutes with two seconds ahead of the Yugoslav Petar Šegedin . Roudný took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki. In 9: 06.4 minutes he was fifth in his run, he missed the final by 0.4 seconds.
