Alessandro Lambruschini

Alessandro Lambruschini (born January 7, 1965 in Fucecchio ) is a former Italian obstacle runner.

Alongside the German Steffen Brand, he was the best European in the 3,000-meter obstacle course in the 1990s and thus the successor to his compatriot Francesco Panetta .

He finished fourth at the Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992 and then won a bronze medal in 1996. At the 1993 World Championships he also won bronze with his personal best of 8: 08.78 minutes. In all of these races, gold and silver went to Kenyan runners.

He celebrated his greatest successes at the European Championships. Here he was able to win the bronze medal in 1990 , the gold medal in 1994 and the silver medal in 1998 .
