The state of Vietnam associated with France (from which South Vietnam later emerged) took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics in the Finnish capital Helsinki with eight male athletes in eight competitions in five sports.

It was the first time a Vietnamese team had participated in the Summer Olympics .
