South Vietnam took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital of Rome with a delegation of three athletes (all men) in five competitions in two sports. No medals could be won. The youngest athlete was the swimmer Trương Ke Nhon (21 years and 238 days), the oldest athlete was the fencer Trần Văn Xuan (26 years and two days). It was the country’s third Summer Olympics participation.
