1960 Summer Olympics / Participant (South Korea)

South Korea took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital of Rome with a delegation of 35 athletes (33 men and two women) in 38 competitions in nine sports. No medals could be won. The youngest athlete was the gymnast Yu Myung-ja (17 years and 158 days), the oldest athlete was the show jumper Kim Dong-kyu (35 years and 93 days). It was the fourth Summer Olympics for the country.
